What is Air Duct Cleaning?
Most people are now aware that indoor air pollution is an issue of growing concern. Many companies are marketing products and services intended to improve the quality of your indoor air. Duct cleaning generally refers to the cleaning of various heating and cooling system components of forced air systems, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, grills and diffusers, heat exchangers heating and cooling coils, condensate drain pans (drip pans), fan motor and fan housing, and the air handling unit housing.
As more people are seeing the importance of indoor air quality, they are looking at duct cleaning as one way to solve indoor air quality problems. In the course of living in a home, we produce a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants; such as dander, dust, and chemicals. All these toxins are pulled into the HVAC system and circulated throughout your house an average of 5 to 7 times per day. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of pollutants in the duct work. Additionally, with humid summer heat and closed up air systems in the winter, your ducts can also become the perfect breeding ground for mold. This all adds up to an environment inside your home which is up to 100 times more polluted than the outside.
Common HVAC Problems & Issues
In this first picture the mother called due to her child having continuous breathing problems. Not only was the air duct system Cleaned, Sanitized and Deodorized but we also installed a UV Light to continuously purify the air in the whole home. In the second picture the home owner complained of loss of air flow in their home and bad smells. Upon inspection we found that mice or rats had chewed threw the duct work. Not only was there loss of air flow but the health issues were beyond explanation!!!
